Any insight on these two players? I'm way up here in Wisconsin; was curious about your thoughts?

The Badger have offered both players. Last year we were able to land Conor O'Neill and Dezman Southward of St. Thomas Aquinas.

Will Miami, Florida, or FSU take a look at either of these prospects? I saw White already has an offer from USF.

I'll love to land a few more from STA.

  2. I really like James White. He gets overshadowed by Giovanni Bernard, but I'm not so sure White isn't the better prospect. White is a bit bigger (sturdier) and seems to be a bit more explosive. White could be one that goes under the radar and really finds his groove once in college. I don't think UM, UF, or FSU will offer him. If he goes to Wiscy, I'll go ahead and give him right now a 1,000 yard season after John Clay is done.

Vinnie is yet another solid STA ILB. Doesn't have "wowing" athletic ability, but certainly athletic enough to play high D1 ball. Has a great motor, and is in on a lot of plays. He's bigger (15 lbs?) than Conor.

SIDENOTE: Talked to David Gilbert the other day and he said he got on campus at 205!! Knee injury he got right before the holiday's I guess caused him to lose some weight. He said he was now 227 and 2nd team DE. Still didn't know if he was going to redshirt, which I thought would be a surefire thing since 17 year old linemen don't usually do to well in the rough Big Ten.

Great to hear White might slip out of Florida. He'd be great as a change of pace back.

Gilbert's frame is amazing. He can easily add another 30-40 pounds. He sure looks the part. I'd expect him to redshit, however, he'd be a great special teamer as a frosh.
