GC’s Chisholm has Offers

Glades Central 2010 running back and cornerback Antwon Chisholm received a handful of official offers last week. SoFLAfootball learned that Chisholm was offered by West Virginia, Alabama, North Carolina, and Rutgers. Chisholm is being recruited both as a running back and a cornerback.

“It doesn’t really matter (what position), but I like to play running back a lot,” explained Chisholm.

Chisholm did mention a desire to get offers from SEC powers Georgia, Auburn and Florida, along with nearby Miami. The 5-foot-8, 170-pound Chisholm took in the Florida/Miami game in Gainesville Saturday.

“It was fun and exciting seeing those two teams go back and forth,” said Chisholm.

Chisholm, who has been timed with a 4.5 forty, explained what he feels are his strength at both positions.

“I’m quick, fast, I’m tough running through the holes and I get to the outside fast. As a cornerback I can check, bump and run, play off, and I can jump with any player there is.”

Chisholm also discussed what he is looking for in the football program he chooses.

“The way they use the running backs, the play packages and formations, stuff like that,” said Chisholm.

Glades Central and Chisholm take on Palm Beach Central at Effie Grier Stadium in Belle Glade this Friday night at 7:30.
