Offers Roll in for White

St. Thomas Aquinas running back James White has had a frenzied past couple of months. With only a Boston College offer as of late January, White has seen seven more offers since.

“I got USF today, and then NC State and Iowa,” said White of his most recent offers. “I got the NC State one last week and Iowa like two weeks ago.”

Add Michigan State, Rutgers, Clemson, and Tulane to the list of schools that have offered White as well. White measured in at the Under Armour Combine at 5-foot10, 193-pounds, and posted a 4.56 forty. The powerful back talked about the whole recruiting process.

“It’s very new to me and I’m getting used to everything. . . It’s going pretty smooth right now, but I know it’s probably going to get a bit more hectic. I’m just trying to go with the flow right now, and not make any commitments right now.”

White is also hearing from North Carolina, Wake Forest, Virginia, and Minnesota even though they have not offered. The talented Raider ball carrier will not name a leader, but feels one school is recruiting him the hardest.

“It’s probably Boston College since they were the first to offer me and they’ve stayed in tough with me ever since the beginning of last season,” said White.

White went on to discuss the significance of performing in front of college coaches during the upcoming spring practices.

“It’s going to be very important, because I feel a lot of people haven’t gotten to see all of my talents,” said White. “When college coaches come down this spring I can show them what I really have.”

White is a member of the 7-3 Raider baseball team this spring, and will be attending the NIKE Camp March 29th on the University of Miami campus.
