Palm Beach Gardens travelled to Seminole Ridge Friday night and the Gators came away with their first victory of the season 13-0.

***PALM BEACH GARDENS***

Alex Clark (pictured) 2012 RB 5′7″ 160: Clark did not reach the end zone on the night, but a couple of his key runs set up both scores for Gardens. He finished the night with 24 carries for 163 yards. Clark showed good speed, vision, and some shiftiness when carrying the ball.

Denzel Reed 2010 DE 6′0″ 190: Reed is an outside linebacker used as a defensive end. He used his speed and quickness to cause havoc in the backfield, often times chasing the ball carrier down from the backside of the play. Reed capped off his night with a sack as the final horn sounded.

Avery Young 2012 OT 6′5″ 260: Young is extremely athletic for a prospect his size. Several times throughout the night, he would pull from his left tackle position and be the lead blocker for Clark. Young still has plenty to work on to become a complete offensive lineman, but he has a very solid foundation to work from for only a sophomore in high school.

Gary Holmes 2012 RB 5′9″ 160: Holmes struggled to get going Friday, but he showed some flashes of what the young running back is capable of. He ended the night with 10 carries for 61 yards, but had a couple nice runs in there.

Woodley Cadet 2010 S/WR 6′3″ 205: Cadet looks the part physically and moves well. Due to the lack of a passing attack from Gardens, he did not get to show his ability in the secondary much. As a receiver, he did come down with an impressive catch along the sidelines.
