Plans Change for Louis

Wednesday afternoon following Under Armour All-American Game practice Delray Beach Atlantic wide receiver James Louis mentioned schools like Miami, Florida, and Minnesota were still recruiting him, despite the fact he had been an Ohio State commitment since July. It was also learned at practice Wednesday that the 5-foot-11, 180-pound speedster from Palm Beach County had spoken to a member of the Florida Gator coaching staff Tuesday.

“They want me to take visits, as of right now I’m not sure,” said Louis of the schools still him about setting up visits.

Louis stood behind that commitment to the Buckeyes.

“As of right I’m 100% Ohio State. My mindset is Ohio State and I don’t want to take anymore visits to change my mind.”

Late Wednesday night, things changed and it looks like more visits will take place for Louis after speaking to his mother this afternoon.

“Momma told me today she wants me to take all my visits.”

The two schools Louis says he plans to visit in January are Florida and North Carolina. Louis says his mother still would like him to go to Ohio State, but as Louis said, “She hasn’t ever got to meet any other school.”

She will get her chance this coming week as new Florida Gator wide receiver coach Zach Azzanni is scheduled to stop by according to Louis.

“He sounds cool over the phone, but I got to meet him in person,” stated Louis of Azzanni.

The Gators are nothing new to Louis, who committed to Florida in July while former wide receiver coach Billy Gonzales was still with the Gators. Louis then surprisingly committed to Ohio State weeks later shocking fans and the Gator coaching staff alike.
