UA Game Prospect Report

January 3, 2010 by Luke Stampini

The game itself was sloppy, but the talent on the field was bountiful. Team Nitro defeated Team Blur 32-7 in the 2010 Under Armour All-American Game played at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. SoFLAfootball takes a look at how each prospect from south Florida performed in the game.

Demar Dorsey had a strong showing in the UA game.Demar Dorsey S Boyd Anderson (Florida commit) - Dorsey (pictured) had a strong showing in the game credited with a forced fumble (but helped on another) and coming up with an interception, he returned 45 yards. Dorsey flashed the talents he has, but still could have had a bigger impact on the game. Two separate times he went over the top of a receiver streaking down the sidelines to help from his free safety position, had he undercut the receiver those two plays (like he did on the INT) he could have come up with another interception and a big time hit. Dorsey proved the tools are there, it is just a matter of refining them to become a great free safety.

Corey Lemonier DE Hialeah - Lemonier did not register a sack or tackle, but looked good coming off the edge. He did play with good energy and tipped a screen pass. His highlight was a 27-yard fumble return.

Todd Chandler DT Northwestern (USF commit) - While Chandler did not have much on the stat sheet with only 1 tackle and being in on a tackle for loss, he played very well. He got penetration several times and pushed the guards into the backfield on a few plays disrupting the backfield. The highlight for Chandler was blowing up the guard and pushing him into the running back Storm Johnson.

Shane McDermott C Palm Beach Lakes (Miami commit) - McDermott played well on the day and held his own. He did show the ability to get to the second level landing a block on a linebacker a few times.

Chris Dunkley WR Pahokee (Florida commit) - The biggest move Dunkley made was probably announcing his plans to attend the University of Florida with his family by his side. Dunkley hauled in one catch for 8 yards and returned a kick for 18 yards. He still looked bothered by hamstring.

Cody Riggs CB St. Thomas Aquinas (Florida commit) - Riggs had an incomplete grade in this game. He was only thrown at once, a ball that was tipped by a teammate. There was not a lot to judge Riggs on in this game.

James Louis WR Delray Beach Atlantic (Ohio State commit) - Louis started the day with nice snag for 5 yards to get his team a first down. Later in the drive, he dropped a touchdown pass that was slightly behind him yet very catchable. Nothing else from Louis the rest of the day as both teams struggled in the passing game.

Lamarcus Joyner CB/Return St. Thomas Aquinas (Florida State commit) - It was a tough day for Joyner, as he fumbled two punts, losing one, and gave up a jump ball touchdown. The plus side of the day is Joyner got to work out solely at cornerback throughout the game, something he had yet to be able to do at the high school level.

Cody Parkey K Jupiter (Auburn commit) - The game was one Parkey would like to forget. He missed two point after attempts and missed field goal attempts of 22 and 50 yards on the day.

Torrian Wilson OG Northwestern - Wilson sat out the game after he reaggravated a knee injury earlier in the week.
