Vil Getting Interest

The unsung prospect at Delray Beach Atlantic is inside linebacker Eluzies Vil. The inside linebacker measures in at 6-foot, 220-pounds, and recently landed a pair of offers.
“The schools that have offered me are Western Michigan and Central Michigan,” said Vil. “It felt real good knowing I got my first two offers, and makes me feel like there’s more to come.”
Two schools showing interest in Vil that have yet to offer are Minnesota and Wisconsin. The Badgers sent their linebacker coach to Atlantic’s practice Thursday to check out Vil in action.
“I think offers are coming from both schools,” said Vil. “I like them both since they are Big Ten schools.”
Vil, who scored a 24 on the ACT in his first attempt, discussed what he is looking for in a school.
“It’s going to come down to what I feel like best fits me, and also their academic programs if they have what I’m going for, a good business program.”
This summer Vil plans on camping at Minnesota, USF, UCF, and Georgia. He is also trying to improve on two aspects of his game.
“I’m always trying to work on my speed. You can never be fast enough, so speed and getting stronger.”
On the field Vil is a run stuffer for the Eagles, terrorizing opposing offenses.
“I think when I’m on the field I bring some intimidation and hard hitting, also knowing the plays before they start.”
Vil and his Atlantic teammates host Royal Palm Beach Thursday in their spring game.
