Carter Close to Deciding?
July 31, 2009 by Luke Stampini
Hialeah defensive back Ravonne Carter feels that he is close to making a choice on what school to attend. The 5-foot-11, 179-pound Carter has his offer from UCF and feels the Orlando campus may be best for him.
“I told them I was about to commit once school starts,” said Carter. “They just make me feel like I’m at home when I go up there, and I communicate real good with them. (Wide Receiver) Coach (David) Kelly, he just make me feel like I’m at home, like the atmosphere and stuff.”
Carter has visited the campus in the past, and may visit again before the start of school. The coaching staff at UCF tells Carter another visit should take place before solidifying his decision.
“They said make sure I’m sure about it, take a look at campus again and make sure I want to be there,” said Carter.
Carter has been on several campuses and he feels UCF stacks up against some of the major programs in college football.
“It’s big and nice. I’ve visited other schools like Florida, Florida State, and Auburn. They campuses are nice too, but UCF’s is good.”
This fall Carter will line up mostly as a safety, but will also see action as a cornerback.
